FWS CHECKING PARROTS COMING IN. In most cases, wildlife and wildlife products must enter or exit the United States at a "designated port" to ensure that import and export of those species can be monitored. Fish and Wildlife law enforcement inspectors make certain that each shipment of wildlife or wildlife products, complies with U.S. laws and regulations and has valid documentation such as import and export permits. Wildlife inspectors also determine that wildlife has been transported under healthful and humane conditions.
