MCGUIRE AIR FORCE BASE, N.J. - Senior Airman Paul DeJesus marshals in a C-141B
Starlifter from its final flight here Sept. 1. The C-141B Starlifter is being
retired from the active- duty Air Force inventory on Sept. 16. After 40 years
of service and nearly nine million flying hours, the aircraft has a proven reliability
and long-range capability in worldwide airlift for combat support missions, and
to humanitarian relief. (U.S. Air Force photo by Kenn Mann)
