IQUIQUE, Chile -- Capt. Paul Wells and Lt. Col. Francis Carillo officially kick
off Exercise Salitre 2004 here by flying the first sortie of the exercise. Salitre
2004 is a multinational air training exercise taking place Sept. 27 to Oct. 8.
The Airmen are F-16 Fighting Falcon pilots from the Air National Guard's 150th
Fighter Wing at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. Air forces from Chile, Argentina
and Brazil are joining nearly 150 U.S. Airmen for the exercise. (U.S. Air Force
