Staff Sgt. Daryl Washington performs a dropped object prevention inspection
on a C-17 Globemaster III at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, Nov. 15. More than half
of all air cargo delivered to support Operation Iraqi Freedom is processed through
here. Due to the close proximity of Incirlik to Iraq and the ability to land
at more and smaller runways, flights from here have kept at least 3,300 convoy
trucks and 9,000 servicemembers from harm's way. Sergeant Washington is a crewchief
