An F-22A Raptor from Langley Air Force Base, Va., flown by Lt. Col. Michael Shower
takes off Friday, March 3, 2006, at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., during
the 2006 Heritage Conference. The conference involves today's state-of-the-art
fighters flying in close formation with World War II and Korean War vintage fighters.
The flight is designed to safely display the evolution of U.S. Air Force airpower
and support Air Force's recruiting and retention efforts. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior
Airman Christina D. Ponte)
